I don't see so much "ivory tower" as much as I see that it points out how having an orgasm is a skill to be developed - if you learn more, your IQ goes up, likewise with EQ. As they say, the more you know - if someone has more knowledge about sex and finds themselves more able to communicate their needs, they're gonna be in a better position to enable their own orgasm. As far as partners go, no matter how sensitive and caring and willing a partner is to please, there is no one way to please a lady. Paths to orgasm are as diverse as the cultures of the world and you're a hell of a lot more likely to get somewhere if the person is intelligent and emotionally competent enough to guide you there. I also like how you completely ignored masturbation - if a woman has no idea where her clitoris is, she probably ain't gonna have much fun, and that's usually the first step for women who haven't or don't know how to orgasm: to take a mirror and a speculum and get down to fucking business, and if your partner can't make you orgasm, you need to open the lines of communication. Seems more empowering than anything to me - raise your IQ/EQ, get more orgasms. Knowledge ain't definite, the brain is like a muscle.

Thanks for your comment. I did write about the importance of masturbation for women here. http://romanticreport.com/news/women-and-masturbation and I agree that EQ is important, but the whole study just seemed biased to give more intelligent (and probably wealthier and therefore more elite women) even more reason to look down on someone less smart than they are

I don't think it takes EQ or IQ to start masturbating, though- how about a higher sex drive? Or a more open mind which has nothing to do with either intelligence or EQ?
